There is something about a complex system responding to stimuli that science morons like algore don’t comprehend.

These scientist have not figured out what is happening yet. But the “science is settled” according to AlGore and his congregation.

Oh wait! When these scientist discover their funds have dried up they will come around and praise AlGore.

I cry BS! Antarctic ice has been increasing in recent decades and Arctic ice is up from the last 5 years. They’ve been doing more “adjusting” of the data to fit their agendas again.

“We're pinning down both parts of this problem, which will improve the correction made to the satellite data, which will in turn improve what we know about whether we're gaining ice or losing ice,” Wilson said. Better estimates of sea level rise can then follow.
<<<

Within the last few weeks I noticed an article about the use of satellite-derived data that implied Greenland was losing ice at a rapid rate, or at least we were confidently told that as a peer-reviewed fact.

Now comes this week's confident news that if we just could understand how we are misunderstanding this stunningly important anomaly in the data that we could know “whether we're gaining ice or losing ice”.

This news that seems to contradict the previous news shares one thing in common: how confident these scientists are that it still will confirm AGW.

From the end of the article:

"POLENET is funded by the National Science Foundation."

"*Wilson reported the research in a press conference December 15, 2008 at the American Geophysical Union meeting in San Francisco."

The article in no way said that ice melting (or even that it was melting) had anything to do with moving plate. Agenda? You betcha!!

As ice melts away from Antarctica, parts of the continental bedrock are rising in response -- and other parts are sinking, scientists have discovered

This is nothing more than plain, ole isostatic rebound, known for many years to occur in the crust whenever glacial ice melts. It's been measured in Scandinavia and Canada for years.

In fact, I've often wondered why the globul warming libtards never mention it, as it would effectively cancel out any coastal flooding that might occur, if globull warming actually did happen the way they say.

Notice the admixture of Goreism editorial comment and actual scientific statement in the following:

Gorbull warming editorial comment:

The finding will give much needed perspective to satellite instruments that measure ice loss on the continent, and help improve estimates of future sea level rise.

Now the (immediately following) actual, unprejudiced quotation from a real scientist:

"Our preliminary results show that we can dramatically improve our estimates of whether Antarctica is gaining or losing ice," said Terry Wilson,* associate professor of earth sciences at Ohio State University.

The dammedia simply cannot resist putting their liberal. biased spin on this issue -- even if it it is printed right adjacent to a proper, unprejudiced, quoted scientific statement that contradicts it!

The problem with this theory is that the ice is actually greater on this date compared to the 1979-2000 mean when they started recording the satellite data:

Here is the actual area since 1979:

As summer begins here is the actual situation as of today:

BTW total sea ice is just about at the mean since 1979:

They had to rely on computer models, which now appear to be incorrect.

Gives one a lot of confidence in those who rely on computer models.
