The IDF received the green light Wednesday for a series of operations against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, after more than 60 mortar shells and Katyusha and Kassam rockets pounded the Negev.
The barrage hit communities throughout the South, reaching as far north as Ashkelon and as far south as Kerem Shalom. At least two Grad-model Katyusha rockets were fired into Ashkelon on Wednesday, and a Kassam with extended range hit Netivot.

So they going to start shooting on Christmas ?
The total now is over 10,000 rockets fired.
Any more, and Israel may actually send a stiff protest note...
hopefully this will be another time Israel will say “Nes Gadol Haya Po”
There can be no truce, not any time soon. Israel just has to make people understand that if they continue to support Hamas and the more radical elements in their society, the West Bank and Gaza might just end up as a permanent part of Israel.
BUMP!
Can’t we just send Jimmy Carter into the Gaza Strip. And then lock the door shut behind him.
Who did the IDF have to get the green light from? If it’s the politicians then I would suggest that it be mandatory for them to live within rocket distance and have to dodge missiles everyday then they would give the green light a lot quicker.
It will be interesting to see how the Obama administration responds. I’ll bet that’s what Hamas is thinking too.
Hit them one for me guys, hit them one for me!!
Hit Iran while ya at it.
Isreal has spent a lifetime trying to get the world to love them to no avail (aint ganna happen). If you cant get the world to love you, at least get them to respect you, bomb the crap out of Gaza. The world wont think any less of you (they cant), but will respect your threats. IMHO

That seems to apply to another country that comes to mind, also a political party.

Great point! ;-)
Peace on Earth, and Good Shooting to Israel!
I read a week or two ago they were getting ready to go in heavy. Don’t know though. State will put frigging pressure on em as soon as the armor starts rolling : (
Israel has gotta do what is good for her, not State.
Read something a few days ago that said Katta tried to meet with Hamas and Hez and pals and they refused him.
I think the ‘Holy O’ has put the kybosh on the antisemitic old fool.
O doesn’t want the senile ass running around loose over there mucking up the works with his own stupid agenda and opinions.
Are they Christians?
It’s unfortunate either way, too many bad decisions on both sides for the last 50 years. What’s a kid who grew up in the refugee camps to think? For that matter, what’s an Israeli kid who’s worried about getting blown up on the way to school to think? All I’m left with is that someone has to utterly destroy the other side. And that’s sad.
