Actually, there's one possibility on how greenhouse gases can cause an ice age: when the Arctic and Antarctic ice melts big time it dumps a HUGE amount of cold water into the oceans, severely disrupting oceanic currents. Once those currents are disturbed, that interferes with the warming effect of oceanic currents (especially the Pacific Current and Gulf Stream), which causes land masses east of these ocean currents to rapidly cool down, causing an ice age in the middle to high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere.

This is a “Rube-Goldberg” theory of how climate works. There are so many potential fail points here that it becomes a joke. Are each of them possible. Yes. Is it likely that events will all fall into order as speculated?
Highly unlikely.

Any one can figure out ways to come up with disastrous results if they are allowed to concoct improbable scenarios. We need to apply Occam's Razor, which in essence says if there is a simpler explanation, we should use the simpler theory in favor of the complex one.

Its not too hard to understand. They may have concluded that temperatures are really going down. That kinda makes it hard to justify the GW wealth redistribution schemes, unless you come up with a new theory why greenhouse gases are bad. So, GW becomes Global Cooling and the more generic “climate change”. Any kind of climate change is bad you see and will require heavy taxation to “fix”.

This whole switcheroo reminds me of Orwell’s “1984”, where the Government one data said that their superstate (Eurasia) was suddenly at peace with EastAsia and at war with Oceania, when the exact opposite had been the case. Yet the new reality was made to appear like it had been the case all along.

Regardless of what the religion of the Goreacle says, it is the Ice Ages that increase drought around the earth, NOT the warm periods.
