Jack Schmitt is Top Flight, worthy of being given great credit for this stance. Anyone who has read his twenty year body of work with the Fusion Technology Institute at the University of Wisconsin will be astounded at such vision from one so level-headed. This is not a guy who rested on his laurels after catching the last flight to the Moon.

A full read of his letter of resignation from the, so-called "Planetary Society" demonstrates his unwillingness to shy away from his devotion to the actualscientific method.

Brief and to the point, it can be read HERE, from last November.

When he first let the open list of Lunar and Planetary Scientists know what his actual words were, it was truly entertaining to read the jumbled, irrational responses from far younger and terribly naive scientists who wore out many boxes of crayons writing their responses.

It must have bent them into permanent pretzels trying to express their respect for Jack Schmitt with their "respectfully disagree" paragraphs. (It was a hoot!)

Dr. Schmitt is a true scientist. May his speaking fees flourish!
