That and the Spotted Owl hysteria. They destroyed many local economies, ruined a thriving industry and drove countless people out of their homes and way of life.
And the media said and did nothing to cover the impact this insanity has had on the families that were driven into poverty. (Dixie, Idaho for starters.)
No kidding. Spotted owls weren’t smart enough to live anywhere but in old growth forest. I’m a cabinetmaker and I cheer when another tree dies. It is kind of like them putting wolves back into Yellowstone. Now there are wolves all over the damn place. And now their is that endowment to save that swamp rat thing, or whatever, back east. These people with this global warming crap all need to be rounded up and put in one spot. Like Antarctica. There they can pray they were right.
