Conservative icon Rush Limbaugh has said that he hopes President Barack Obama fails.
"No, I don't share that," Gov. Butch Otter said.
Otter said his "free-market tendencies may ruffle a little bit" at Obama's strategy to pay for immediate economic stimulus by ballooning federal debt. But he said the country risks a worse recession if Obama doesn't succeed.
"I think it'd be deeper and lengthen and maybe even go into a depression if we failed," Otter said.
Restoring public confidence in the economy is critical, Otter said. "I'm going to do all I can to get as many people working and get as many people confident that they can participate in this economy by getting them jobs building bridges and roads, and water systems for rural Idaho, and energy conservation and weatherization.

More decontextualizing Limbaugh by another politician hoping to get their name in the news.
I don’t listen to Limbaugh that much, but if you read the entirety of what he said, it’s perfectly reasonable.
I don’t want Obama’s socialist project to succeed. That’s all. I’m not hoping he does everything wrong; hell, I want the nation to succeed under him—because I want to see my country succeed no matter what. I hope I wake up tomorrow and we’re back to the Bull Market and 1% unemployment forever, and Obama gets some common sense and starts cutting our out-of-control spending. But I DON’T want the nation infected with an iniquitous socialism and oppressive statism. The free market, the heart and soul of the capitalist instinct that is at the heart of this nation, must endure—it is more important than one president. So, in such projects that move the nation in that direction, I want Obama to fail. But that’s the extent of it; that’s what Limbaugh meant, IMO.
Republicans don’t help themselves by latching onto Obama’s sinking ship, the ISS MARXISM.

I want to know just what, exactly, Rush said that has upset the RINOs, Libs, and others like them. I mean, they’re going ballistic on the left, which I suppose is expected. But what did he say that got the RINO’s upset?
And I would add Risch as well...and it would seem that Crapo is drinking the Kool-Aid too...I sent him a nasty note about his confirmation vote for the tax cheat, little Timmy Geithner.

Once again, BS. You are so full of crap. conservatives win when they tell the truth. You apparently are in love with this Butch Otter, well I am not. Anytime a frickin’ politician tells me he wants a communist agenda to succeed then he will not get my vote or any other conservatives vote for that matter.
In fact, our state is one of many that is looking into declaring our sovereignty from the feds via the 9th and 10th amendments. I am backing him all the way on that.
