Redoubt Volcano has been erupting all day. I am in south Anchorage where ash is falling. 1/8th inch in the last 20 minutes. visibility less than 500 feet. Heavy smell of sulfur in the air.
Hunkering down!
Did the winds shift? I thought Anchorage was supposed to be spared.
OBAMA’S FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obama’s stewardship of the planet gets a thumbs down from Goddess Pele’
Yuck. That must be nasty!
Waiting for the zombies and flying razors.
Be careful washing that off the cars its extremely abrasive.

WAY WORSE than a Hurricane!
Stay safe!
Volcano party at costco!
But remember to turn off your lights between 8:30 and 9:30!
Was in Spokane when Mt St Helens hit . . .
was dark—real dark in the middle of the day.
AVOID GOING OUT WITHOUT A PRETTY DECENT MASK.
AVOID DRIVING VEHICLES YOU CARE ABOUT . . . SOME FOLKS PUT WOMEN’S HOSE OVER THE CARBORATOR/AIR BREATHER INTAKE IIRC.
We happened to be parked about a block from our apt when it started seriously falling. I don’t recall if we left the car where it was—no, I think we drove it home.
Mother-in-law was staying with us and had to stay longer as no flights for a day or 3.
Some buildings had to have the ash shoveled off to avoid collapsing the roofs. It was heavy stuff but about the consistency of talcum powder.
Great for scouring pans etc.
KEEP IT OUT OF YOUR BREATHING PASSAGES AND LUNGS. VERY HAZARDOUS STUFF.
Somebody trll Bobby Jindal, He thinks volcano monitoring is "wasteful"
Stay safe up there!!! Many prayers!

It’s supposeed to have snow and high winds tonight too. It’s going to be a muddy fracking mess wnen it melts!
