My power bill which states the average outside temp for the month says March 09 was 3 degrees cooler than March 08, and with a number of unusual March snow days I believe it.

Mid-April south of Tucson, and it topped out at 55 deg today. Should be warmer tomorrow, but this has been a cool spring.
The problem is that any warming or cooling will probably take place over a few hundred years, with variations up and down along the way. Makes it tough to look at 20 or 50 years of data and know the long term trend.

We had an overall cool summer last year, and I'm so tired of the cold this winter. It's spring and we're still running the heat. Two years ago at Easter, we were in the 90's. Corresponding to the cool weather...
