At his 100th-day town hall meeting in St. Louis Wednesday, President Barack Obama took direct aim at the anti-tax “tea party” demonstrations that have cropped up over the last month and took a veiled shot at the Fox News Channel, the cable news network closely associated with the protests.
Asked about fiscal discipline and entitlements reform, Obama seemed to be repressing a smile as he jabbed critics of his spending plans.
"Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I'm not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, Obama said, “let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.”

I well and truly hate all that he stands for and all that he does.

They will squash or bribe or intimidate anyone in their path.
Think about it, every person who has ever come out against them has quickly shut up or been attacked personally. Bloomberg was outraged on Monday and conciliatory on Tuesday. He is not the only one or the only example.
If you can’t be bought they will threaten your family, your welfare or your livelihood. They are gang members and they are making America their turf.
This nut has just threatened millions of SS recipients that if they sont see it his way, he will cut off SS payments
Conversations don’t mean listening.
The rising costs of heath care are no different than the rising cost of labor; the rising cost of consumer products; or the rising cost of research and development.
Why health care should be exempt from market forces, or why government should be an interested party is a question that never seems to be asked.
How about controlling or cutting labor costs?
As for Social Security- a stable Social Security will exist when people start planning and saving for their own retirement and don't expect the government to cover for them.
It was absolutely stunning to watch a crowd of people applaud time after time as Obama expressed a view that transferred the responsibility for an individual's own well-being to the government and away from themselves. Have we become so lazy, apathetic, and submissive that we are willing to trade away our freedoms for comfort?
I truly fear for our future.

Ok...let’s have that conversation.
1. Get the government OUT OF HEALTHCARE. If you show up at a hospital, you pay the bill. If a doctor really screws up, yank his license don’t make all of them pay exorbitant insurance rates to cover for the few. Get rid of SCHIP, medicare, medi-cal or whatever. Institute health savings accounts.
2. Put the money that we have paid into Social Security back into it and keep the government’s money grubbing paws off of it. Then get rid of the entire program and let people have their own investment programs.
