WASHINGTON:Senators John F. Kerry and Richard Lugar introduced legislation today to put into effect key elements of President Obama's new strategy in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The bill would triple US aid to Pakistan's government to $1.5 billion a year-- and decouple it from military aid, which would be determined each year based on cooperation with the United States on fighting Al Qadea and the Taliban.
The legislation would also require the president to submit a detailed strategy for assistance to Pakistan.

Charlie Wilson’s War II.
Is this Jon’s first bill ?
This country is in an enormous amount of debt. Can someone please tell me what would be the benefit of helping another country when we are severely hurting at home?
Kerry should just mail the check to the Taliban since they will receive most of the money anyway. We can always count on John The Moron to help the enemy and keep them well funded with tax payer dollars.
The money would be better spent pouring it down an American sewer.
Pockeeston? Just seal the borders and keep the nukes in. That’ll keep us safe. Shouldn’t take $1.5 billion.
I wonder how much PAC (spelled P-A-K) money Kerry receives under the table??
