Fine, tell those wonderful "leaders" at the university the Kappas will stop when every other group defined event at the university stops.

Celebrate black history month? Gone.

Religious holidays of any/every stripe? Gone.

Any group that promotes one race, gender, creed, sexual orientation over another? Gone.

Any group that promotes "awareness" of any cause, be it breast cancer or sickle cell anemia? Gone.

After all, if you're going to quash someone's rights because someone else may find it offensive when they exercise those rights... Well, you're going to have to quash everyone's rights equally lest you be labeled discriminatory.

In other words, life will be pretty {expletive} boring around campus. Guess the kids will just to turn to sex, drinking, and drugs to entertain themselves...

As you point out, the "tolerant" left really aren't so tolerant after all.

The Confederate memorial is under attack in my town, some black activist says he is offended. I wish a white person would step forward and say he/she is offended by Martin Luther King Jr Drive. I led the fight to keep Birth of a Nation from being booted from the library a few yesrs ago. The same activist said he was offended and wanted it disgarded. I don't have time to take on the memorial right now, my mother is terminally ill. I did tell the UDC chapter that owns it they could put it in my yard. I have a large corner lot which is about 4x the typical lot size in town. ;) Some info from Wikipedia about the significane of Birth of a Nation Released in 1915, the film has been credited with securing the future of feature-length films (any film over 60 minutes in length), as well as solidifying the visual language of cinema. In its day, it was the highest grossing film, taking in more than $10 million, according to the box cover of the Shepard version of the DVD (equivalent to $200 million in 2007).[5] The website Rotten Tomatoes, which compiles reviews from various sources, indicates the film has a 100% "fresh" (positive) rating.[14] In 1992 the United States Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant films" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry. Despite its controversial story, the film has been praised by film critics such as Roger Ebert, who said: "'The Birth of a Nation' is not a bad film because it argues for evil. Like Riefenstahl’s Triumph of the Will, it is a great film that argues for evil. To understand how it does so is to learn a great deal about film, and even something about evil."
