I think what's worse is this: The fact that it happened. If we hadn't waterboarded to begin with none of this would be a controversy, would it? Torture is torture. Let's say someone were to call his house and tell Jesse that he had kidnapped his 25-year-old daughter Jade, and if a ransom wasn't paid, she would die a slow and humiliating death. First off, why do you think the kidnapper would make his demands via the telephone?
