Even though we disagree vehemently with their politics, let's not be petty about the typical activities of the President and First Lady. First couples always travel; sometimes together, sometimes separately, and sometimes, they take their kids along. Has always happened, and will continue, whether the President is Republican or Democrat.
What would happen if Dubya took Laura to a 24k evening on taxpayer money while the unemployment went to 9.5%? The media would be outraged.
