Of course not. I simply have pretty good night vision. The number of rocks hitting the atmosphere virtually dead overhead every evening and then appearing to explode is sufficient that your average watcher can see at least one an evening with a pair of binoculars.
Some of us can see them without the binoculars ~ even with urban light pollution.
Now, what is it about "explosions" that makes you think of "hearing voices"? Hmmmm! Outta' meds or what?
