Like relying on the temp gauge in a black car in Florida for accurate temp readings.

It is not a claim, it is a fact. You put a thermometer close to a heat source and it will give a higher reading.

This won’t stop efforts at AGW legislation such as cap & trade.
AGW legislation isn’t about so called “Man-made Global Warming.” It’s about higher taxes, government control of the economy, & loss of US sovereignty.

When I was young one could rely upon what the government published and advised. Today, “they live and love the lie!” Crime statistics, weather statistics, budget figures are all cooked or suppressed. They cannot help it. It is Aristotelian in its scope: i.e. the governors very essence their nature is badness in that they lack truth. They are BAD people.

It's fairly certain that the people who placed them there understood this would yield false readings.

The funny thing about this is that this investigation was probably triggered by a teenage girl's report, in a Jr. High School science class. She took a picture of her local station, and posted it on the Web.
The weather station was right next to a burn barrel. This set off alarms, and many skeptics started investigating stations sited near them. I'm glad to see that they got organized and did a comprehensive investigation.
It looks like the bias is far worse than anyone would have imagined.

In many cases, they were in fine locations, which then were overtaken by progress. In other cases, they were in fine locations but were moved to less intrusive nearby places, which almost always are near heat sources.
