NOAA considers this to be a high probability to develop into a tropical cyclone.

Meanwhile, Tropical Depression 2 is disintegrating and the National Hurricane Center has stopped issuing advisories on it.

The weather channel is almost giddy at the possibility... sick.

Don’t really want a hurricane, but we need the rain and it looks like it may be the only way we are going to get any.

Yeah, but I bet NautiNurse is bored to tears.

I don’t really want a hurricane either, but a tropical storm dumping large amounts of rain on Lake Martin would be perfect. On second thought, the rain from the late storm last year meant that most of my best fall fishing spots had too much water over them.

We’ll just about settle for anything at the moment.

I’ve gotten to the point that I’m just thankful any time a cloud floats past and makes shade. We got some very cooling downdrafts today, but the rain went elsewhere.

I’m 10 miles south of Lake Martin and we’ve received lots of rain this year, minus the month of June, when we had virtually none.

I’d prefer my rain in easier managed doses, thanks. Opal and Ivan really tore up my property, and I didn’t like being without power for so long.
