I am surprised.

Chris Wallace is actually challenging the AMA guy by using facts that contradict the Doc’s claims.

Which proves under Obama it is not safe to laugh as you would have to wait in line for that pulled muscle to be treated if you had to have the care he is promoting.

Remember they, including OBOZO especially, fought with all of their might to have Terri Shiavo murdered in the MOST TORTUROUS of all ways, far worse than Beheading and Far Worse than Stoning or amputating arms and legs with no anesthesia! OBOZO and his Death Squads fully supported and encouraged starving and dehydrating an Innocent, Brave and Courageous Woman, whose family begged to take care of her!, to the Most Horrendous Death anyone can imagine in their most horrible of Nightmares! Check the Facts and the Euthanasia Groups that were in the middle of this outrageous Atrocity!!! Give him a chance, and OBOZO will do it again in a nanosecond and to thousands and millions if given the chance:-(

You’d think it was the dog days of August, but look—they’ve stacked every panel with as much Obama-tilted firepower as they can. Chuckie’s on there as the milquetoast, really-on-their-side, fig leaf to balance, but they’ve got everyone from Gibbsy to the bought-off special interests (AARP and the AMA) on spinning.

One of your best brayings - lots of great points to be used in casual conversations with friends, neighbors, people in the check-out line at the supermarket, etc....

It amazes me how they vilify the insurance companies, which are the same ones set up in the 70’s by the HMO bill. This is a question I would love to see asked of the congressional idiots.

Could you not have transferred him to another hospital and paid for the additional care there?

The compromise bill is the one both chambers will try to push through rapidly, in the wee dark morning hours, before it can be read by the public.

Tom, if that happens, then I predict all Hell breaking loose. If they think the public is angry now (despite the public spin they put on it as a small group of paid-for-Rightwing extremists), as Reagan said, "You ain't seen nothing yet!"

Part of my hopes they'll do so. It will lead to a public deluge of Congress come November 2010. The only thing that makes me hope they lose now is how terrible this bill or bills are for the nation.

snugs, those on Medicare can only have what Medicare is willing to pay for. If the family wants the patient to stay longer in the hospital and is willing to pay for it, they are not allowed to do so.

Doctors can only take what fees Medicare will reimburse. If they try to recoup their actual costs they end up in trouble with the law. This is why some doctors won’t take Medicare patients. Others (like my orthopaedic guy) make up the shortfall by charging higher fees to insurance companies who pay for younger patients, hence the higher medical costs. Medicare is actually the cause of much of the higher insurance costs for under 65 Americans.

The AMA and AARP are either in denial, or are lying,
or are in cahoots. They both must know there is rationing,
and proving that they both either change the subject,
or slying peel to a nuanced something else.

FNS

Oh! The new health reform will do away with the Medicare prescription ‘donut hole’ where patients have to pay full price.

I’m thinking about changing my position. This plan may not be so bad.

They don't have GW Bush to demagogue about in 2010 to cover how they vote in DC now.

Really, you should see the Ad's that Jon Corzine is running against Cris Christie here in NJ for Gov. (Bush Cronies, Bush Cronies, Bush Cronies, Yada, Yada, Yada )
