Naha Okinawa—along with White Beach, Village #1,2, 3 etc and don’t forget Crossroads....
Formosa also great at the time..Kaoshung #1,
all of Japan ichi ban and of course, one of the greatest Olangapo PI.

Ah yes !! Nominue Naha, Kin Village, Naha in the South, Kin in the North. In the middle, you had Koza City with BC and Gate 2 streets, “the Alley”, and Koza 4 corners which was where the “brothers” hung out. Every marine that was bound for the “Nam” stopped their on the way to and fro, and also R&R. It was also under occupation status from WW2. B’52’s used to run out of Kadena AFB. 40,000 American service people, many with dependents. I was 19 and bulletproof. 18 months on the rock. Race riots (our GI’s), political riots, (Japanese citizens seeking autonomy), and barroom brawls you wouldn’t believe. 67-70 it was like the wild wild west. The survival skills that have served me for the past 40 years were learned here as a young MP.
