Cold air is actually the #1 cause of asthma attacks.

Are you saying WARM temps actually make people healthier? Are you a doctor?

Yes. I am. Plus I have asthma (68% lung capacity) and I used to ski. Had to use anti-inflammatories and come down off the mountain after a few hours to keep from triggering asthma attacks.

I have asthma and cold weather DOES bring on asthma attacks, I can verify that.

I've also lived in Arizona, and DUST (there is dust in the desert and there are duststorms) can also bring about asthma attacks.

Anywhere you live in the USA, there are triggers for asthma and allergies (and that was told to me by my ENT doctor).

Cold triggered asthma attacks

Snippet: I quickly learned that respiratory infections such as colds or the flu are one of the many triggers of asthma attacks.  In fact they cause approximately 80% of asthma attacks in children and 50% of asthma attacks in adults.  This is because infections cause your airways to secrete substances that cause excess mucus and inflammation.  This problem is compounded by lungs already affected by asthma because viruses can multiply there faster than in lungs unaffected by asthma.
