It would seem then, if an agitated, spotty sun is thwarting the arrival of the heavy nuclei that normally make for cooling clouds, we ought to be able to fix that little problem ourselves with a substitute source of these nuclei if we consider it desirable to dial the earth’s thermostat down.

The upshot: global warming, IF it brings the kind of disasters that Gore has been all upset about (and nobody has proved it will) is no longer a bugaboo. We can now burn all the clean coal we want.

They're working on that (producing cooling-type clouds). I believe they've carried out experiments already.
