Is it true that this bill requires Americans to purchase government approved insurance only?

As I understand it this is true because you will be forced under penalty of $250,000 fine and five years jail time to buy some sort of health insurance and all health insurance policies will have to meet minimum government mandated services, essentially making all health insurance policies the "government" option.
