Dear GGG,

I hold the following in difference to my research.

Noah’s Flood was more in line with a Missoula Glacier Lake scenario which can be found at Missoula MT. Museum and website. The Noah scriptures describe a glacier lake scenario.

That would make it very possible for the Ark to have beached high in the Mountains of Asia Minor. The waters of the Missoula Glacier lake reached 4200 ft above sea level of today or nearly 5000 feet during the ice age, and 900 feet above Missoula, Mt.

However, the Med. Sea was drained during the last ice age and salt beds covered by thousands of year old sediment. Thus in reading about Adam, one major river broke into four and fed Egypt, Mesopotamia and Arabia. This is possible if we avoid the creationalist angle and stay with accepted science.

This would put Adam in the midst of the ice age. His position would be south of Turkey and west of Syria.
He was forced out and the Garden was guarded by an angle with a sword of Fire. A cone volcano has the same appearance and to an ancient person, a cone volcanoes has the shape of clasped hands and fire shooting out of the top would look like a sword.

The area mentioned has a lot of submerged cone volcanoes.

The next thing to happen would be the deluge from the melting glaciers which would have cut canyons and wiped out any mammal life in the Med. Sea bed, and with the rising Atlantic Ocean would have quite a different shape than 70K years ago. The Red Sea and Persian Sea would have refilled and became seas again.

What we are looking at in Genesis is one of the oldest oral histories from the ice age handed down through the Egyptians and ancient tribes to Moses. Kinda neat, eh?

The lineage of Christ appears to be missing the bad boys.

The Dead Sea was quit higher in the time of Christ than it is today.

Most Sincerely.

Paul Pierett

Wow....what a fanciful tale, free of any understanding of climate systems.

The key to the Ice Age was temperature--not cold, but warm. Ice comes from snow, and snow from moisture in the air, which in turn comes through evaporation, which comes from warm water.

Just ask someone in Buffalo how much warm water they have in the winters....or anyone in the Northeast whenever there's a Noreaster. Hint to dumbarse that knows little about climatology: snow fall is determined by geography, wind direcion, and position in relation to ANY water source, warm or cold.....not the temperature of the water. Matter of fact, if the water is warm all over the Earth as you claim it was, there will be no snow.....hint....warm water = warm air = rain.

The Ice Age likely occurred soon after the Flood

Baseless and incorrect statement. The last glacial period ended about 11,000 years ago.....way back before "recorded history."

Job didn't live in a glaciated area, but he evidently knew about icy conditions farther north.

A) Someone on here who shall remain nameless...argued for days that nobody knew of the ice "up north"....so thanks for the ammo.

B) Job might have seen "ice", even glacial "ice", but he never saw the ice-age glacial ice unless he went north of the Alps......and that passage from Job does not lead be to think of glaciers, merely of frost and ice caused by some cold weather, not a cycle off glaciation.

Warmer water evaporates much more rapidly than cold.

WOW...give the man a cigar. Ooops...take it away from him as you don't need mega-grains of water-moisture in the air for there to be snow. Sheer ignorance of SIMPLE meterology.

The Flood oceans were quite warm due to the introduction of huge volumes of superheated water from the "fountains of the great deep" and frictional heating by shifting continents, etc.

I see absolutely nothing in Genesis that remotely insunuates the fountains from the deep being superheated water. I see nothing that insinuates heat from continents shifting sufficient enough to warm that much global water.

The immediate post-Flood time was marked by frequent major storms fed by excessive evaporation.

REALLY? You have a weather report from 4351 years ago?

Today, we find numerous remains of civilizations that evidently had been built in coastal areas soon after the Flood.

No, today we find numerous remains of civilizations from the last glacial period that ended 5,000+ years before the supposed flood.

A similar scenario explains the Mediterranean Sea. The rising waters breeched the "dam" at Gibraltar and flooded a low-lying floodplain with inland lakes.

BWAAAAAhahahahah....this guy is fabricating quite a bit.

As the great Flood of Noah's day ended, God instructed the animals and man to multiply and occupy the entire planet.

Except, of course, any of the 100+ species of large meat-eating dinosaurs. They, or course, missed the boat entirely.

As the globe filled with occupants, the ice melted, dividing the continents and trapping the migrants in place.

Fabricated nonsense. you telling me in the time of the Ark that Man had no clue how to make a boat to migrate along coasts? Riiiiiiight.
