If you stacked new, crisp $100 dollar bills, how high would the stack be to equal 1 trillion dollars? Answer: 749 miles.

Is this one also based on 10 years of collection of taxes yet only 3 years of benefits being in place?

Then the CBO lied. Or they were persuaded, Chicago-style.

Of course the GOP will tell the American people that they will not only oppose the bill, they will seek to repeal it - making sure that RATS have indefinite political pain.

That is not the point, however. Even if a future GOP Congress could repeal this monstrosity in 2011, Obama is still sitting there with his veto pen, and we will not have the votes to override in either chamber.

As such, this must be defeated NOW. Call your senators. Have everyone you know and can count on call all of their members of Congress.

You have publicly supported this bill, and stated that attorney generals from all over the union could be getting ready to sue the US Government.

We are asking you to order the Texas Attorney General to publicly begin working on a law suit under Article IV, Ninth, and Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.

We are asking you to protect the citizens of Texas that we will not stand for government controlled healthcare in our state.

Unless someone can promise us they can repeal this sham, I am done with the US and politics.

You can repeal it in 2011 if you get 67 votes in the Senate and 270 in the House to override an Obama veto. Or in 2012, you can repeal with 60 votes in the senate, 218 in the house and the presidency.

FYI, if the gop wins 100 percent of the senate seats in 2010, you can't get to 67, you can't even get to 60, I'd be shocked if they even got to 50.

Double? When Medicare was first enacted in 1965, lawmakers predicted it would cost $9 billion by 1990. In fact, it cost $67 billion that year.
