Well that’s the downside to fame, people are interested in your DIRT, that’s just a fact of life and they can rail to the heavens about the unfairness of it all, but that is the way it is. With the $$$$$ comes the downside of lack of privacy. People WILL be up in your biz, no way around it.
Injuries from car crash to prevent his participation
11/30/2009
Due to injuries sustained in a one-car accident last week, Tiger Woods will be unable to play in the 2009 Chevron World Challenge.
"I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week," Woods said. "I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I'm very sorry that I can't be there."
"We support Tiger's decision and are confident the strong field and excellent course will provide an exciting week of competition at the Chevron World Challenge, said Greg McLaughlin, Tiger Woods Foundation President & CEO
Woods will not participate in any other tournaments in 2009 and will return to action next year.

The so-called "other woman" whose name has surfaced in the wake of Tiger Woods's accident has hired a high-profile celebrity lawyer and issued an adamant denial of any relationship with the golfing champ.
"I did not have any involvement with him [Woods]," Rachel Uchitel told E! News. "Whatever was written in the Enquirer was not said by me, it was said by two people that claimed they were friends of mine, but they're not." She added: "I am overwhelmed, so I hired Gloria Allred to handle the situation. I don't want to get this much attention, and I wish everybody would leave me alone."
Fess up, be forgiven, and this too shall pass? Ugh. With this attitude, people get away with anything and everything. I DESPISE this attitude — I’m out there with Elin and the golf club. Keep running, don’t bother coming back. Does it not occur to you that people will commit immoral acts because they know that they will be forgiven and all shall pass? It’s the safety net.

Woods met Florida's legal requirement by providing police with his driver's license, car registration and proof of insurance, and is not obliged to volunteer medical records, video from home security cameras or anything else investigators might want, prominent Florida lawyer Roy Black said.
"Any lawyer with a brain in their head is not going to allow him to talk to the police because nothing good can come of talking to the police," said Black, who defended William Kennedy Smith, a member of America's Kennedy clan, against a rape charge, and radio host Rush Limbaugh in a drug fraud case.
Woods said in a written statement on Sunday that the accident was his fault and was "obviously embarrassing to my family and me." He called irresponsible the "many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me."

The Florida Highway Patrol said it had not made any comments on Woods' medical information, an apparent reference to a published report that investigators were seeking a search warrant for the hospital where the golfer was treated to obtain his medical records.

And with the police always looking for a charge to put on someone (Hey! It's their job... LOL...), the best advice that you or I or anyone can get is to never ever talk to the police under any circumstances, anywhere at anytime...
Talking to the Police by Professor James Duane
Professor James Duanes now famous 5th Amendment lecture - popularly known as Dont talk to the police! - has amassed a considerable internet following. The lecture, given as part of Regent Law Schools spring preview weekend.
"If we're unable to meet with him, we'll move on with our investigation," Montes said. But she called the delays "very unusual, because it's such a minor accident."
Now, if the police are saying that this kind of delay is very unusual for "such a minor accident" -- then by inference and conclusion, I would say that the "charges" could only be "minor" too.... LOL...
True, but in our own little world of friends and family, especially in small towns like here, everybody is still up in your biz, even if you’re po’.............
“If his name was Fred Jones of Ottumwa, Iowa, nobody would care about this stuff...............”

i guess you can keep posting those links to every article posted about tiger woods, but i think we have read them all already. as much as you or Tiger may want this to be over and done with, it’s not, by a long shot. fame brings intrusion into privacy, it’s the price you pay. He is no more immune than anyone else.
Further, why is anyone - particularly FReepers - wasting their time with it?
Now..., now... your fellow FReepers like salacious gossip and rumormongering just like the next guy..., you should know that... LOL..
If his name was Fred Jones of Ottumwa, Iowa, nobody would care about this stuff...............
Heck! You're right. I took out a light pole on the freeway and had fire engines and police cars all over the place. I even got my ticket dismissed in court.
No one even cared enough to write it up in the papers... LOL...
Well exactly, so why should tiger be immune to it. His drama is playing on a bigger stage, but i thought myself that if joe blow in ottumwa Iowa was being chased by his wife wielding a golf club, it would cause a stir and be the subject of gossip throughout the neighborhood or town. That is just LIFE.
invenerial?.........whazzat?..............do I need a inoculation?........
This ranks around 266,715th of news stories Im concerned about.
BUT, for FReepers, it ranks right behind Anthopogenic Global Warming and Obamacare.
That indicates you're out of step with the rest of FReepers here. From my observations, this is the #3 topic on Free Republic by article count... LOL...
You know what>? I make no apologies for being interested. it beats the hell out of reading the depressing news that issues forth from the Obama WH on a daily basis. It is of interest precisely because it doesn’t involve US being screwed!
“.....do I need a inoculation?........”

only bigbromofo knows that!
Perhaps you can get a reality show.......................
Be responsible. What a radical message when the OJ model of denying everything and being a worm to live another day is the dominant one.
WHY did Larry say there was NO INFIDELITY with Tiger, when that is what this is all about??????
Well, actually -- here on Free Republic, it seems to be all about salacious gossip and rumormongering -- but who am I to deny that to fellow Freepers... LOL...
