3.5 is pretty small.
Not in Nebraska.
If you ever get a foot of snow in downtown LA, I'll say that's not much, considering that I grew up in New England ;-)
“3.5 is pretty small.”
Not for that area. I grew up there, and though you’re astride the Humboldt Fault, neither I, nor anyone else I knew had ever experienced a quake. The folks I talked to, living in the area, told me that they didn’t even consider a quake as a possibility. Kids tearing the house up, train wreck, gas explosion were some of their impressions. Tremors are foreign to those folks.
Coincidence possibly. It would be neat if the fireball caused it, but the locals tell me I’m crazy. Probably true, as Nebraskans are good judges of character.
Not when you hardly ever get them, it isn’t.
Yea, it is, but the last earthquake that large in Nebraska was in October of 1972. The biggest one in the 20th century was March of 1964 and it was only 5.1. I remeber that one, because of what it was associated with. (Like the first time I danced with Bonnie I. (but it wasn't the last. My cousin was in the band, and he changed the words of "See the Girl with the Red Dress On..." giving her a blue dress, since that's what Bonnie was doing. Nice girl, smart, big ... well never mind. :). I don't know what happened to her of late. Last time I saw her was probably 1988 at a reunion.
