Read the comments in the article link. Most people seem to realize what a destructive idea this is for all students. They understand it’s going to hurt the ethnic minority students (e.g. blacks and Hispanics) who are ambitious, as well as the ambitious white and Asian students.
But, but ... ambition is unfair. It leaves the slothful behind. Can’t have that.
