The white and Asian kids will still find ways to study science. It’s in their genes. They will go online, search science periodicals, and even read books. The other kids will continue on the path they have chosen.

You're probably right. I started doing stuff on my own in elementary school.

Well, it is pretty clear that most parents who care about their children’s education will supplement it with summer science courses with labs etc.

This proposal will hurt poor minority kids the most. We have a progressive left wing nut in Maine that wants to eliminate all homework in the name of equality. The children of the well educated will still study and work at home.
It will reduce the upward mobility of the poor.
