McCain in new ad: Obama leading 'crusade to bankrupt America' (he finally wants to fight Zero)
CNN - Political Ticker ^ | January 7, 2010 | CNN Associate Producer Martina Stewart

Washington (CNN) – It's McCain vs. Obama, Round 2 in Sen. John McCain's new radio ads, the first of his 2010 re-election bid.

"President Obama is leading an extreme, left-wing crusade to bankrupt America," McCain says in one of the new radio ads. "I stand in his way every day. If I get a bruise or two knocking some sense into heads in Washington, so be it," the Arizona Republican also says in the ad.

The second radio ad references McCain's time as a POW during the Vietnam War, saying McCain continues to fight to this day. "John McCain is leading the fight against President Obama every day, standing tall and outspoken, helping Arizona families," an announcer says in the second ad.

"My lot in life has been to wage war against wrong," McCain intones in the second ad, "like today's massive spending at the worst possible time. Send me back to the Senate. We'll win that fight for Arizona."

You're more like a speed bump, Mc. You haven't even done much to slow him down.

>”...it really just confirms that he was clueless when he told folks Barry would make a good president...”<

I heard it live and threw a book at the TV. Luckily I missed.

My, my, what a group of cynicals on here. Sure, John lost the election, but, the DEMS could’ve run Mickey Mouse last year and won given the anti-Bush rhetoric that was rampant in this country. I’m not sure that McCain was aware of what he was up against, or if he was, he chose to ignore it and be the gentlemanly nice, reach across the aisle guy

In fact, zero once made the comment to John, that he didn’t know what he was up against. But, zero knew the cronies and crooks who would swing the election his way.

McCain has done some rotten things, but, he isn’t anti-American and I believe we wouldn’t be having this disdain if he had won the election.

Just my opinion, of course.

Well, John, welcome to the party. You’re a bit late, only a year or so, but help yourself to spitting in Obama’s face. But if you start pissing off the locals like you did a few times before, you and your other Rino friends are going to have to leave...permanently.

McCain states Obama is a decent person and a person you don't have to be scared if he's President of the United States - Circa October 12, 2008  LINK

McCain states Obama respects the U.S. Constitution - August 25, 2009
LINK

Statements cited in this tread are better, but McCain still doesn't get it.

This man's judgment is severely flawed.  It has taken him this long to begin to see Obama for what he is.  He still doesn't express that he fully grasps the threat Obama represents.

McCain is unfit to hold public office.

That's what we tried to tell you during your campaign, dumbass. You know, the one where you said there was "nothing to fear" in having the Kenyan Communist pretend to be president, just before you threw the fight?

Smiling takes 6.

That self-righteous,over-priviliged, asleep-at-the-switch PTSD POS is the main reason we have Obama now. If now he’s ready to abandon the obsequeous a**-kissing and is ready to question and scrap with the Dem’s and their candidate, and vet Obama, then McCain’s about 2 1/2 years too late.

John has a strong case of F.P.F.E.

Faking Patriotism For Election.

Hey! John! Get right with Jesus, so you don’t have to pay for your sins in eternal hellfire! Punishment is coming! Flee the wrath that is to come!

A day late and a dollar short. I laugh at the barrage of advertising he's putting out because it's only going to increase my great pleasure voting against him in the primary. This man denied America a real choice last election and I feel it is my DUTY to dump him on behalf of all those other patriots who don't have that opportunity!

I thought America had “nothing to fear” from an 0bama Presidency???

Good memory! I just have general disgust when I see McCain.

the DEMS could’ve run Mickey Mouse

I wouldn't vote for McQueeg if he was running against a ticket of Che Guevara and Moammar Khadafy.

I wouldn't vote for McQueeg if he was running against a ticket of Ben Burch and Rachel Maddow.

I wouldn't vote for McQueeg if he was running against a ticket of Hannibal Lecter and the guy from "Saw".

Still think we shouldn't be scared of Obama, as you stated during your campaign, Senator McCain ?

You really let out the air in your campaign with that one, and showed your didn't want to take the battle where it needed to go.

Sorry John. You were advised to point out the likely path that the Socialist/Communist Obama would take if elected and you declined. So you are TOO LITTLE and TOO LATE. Next time listen to Sarah when she gives you good advice.

that ol’ man wants to run again for 2012. I don’t care that he says he won’t,

From the article - McCain intones in the second ad, "like today's massive spending at the worst possible time. Send me back to the Senate. We'll win that fight for Arizona."
