President Obama plans to meet with union leaders Monday to discuss their opposition to a proposed tax on high-cost insurance plans, a tax that would pay for his health care overhaul plan, sources told Fox News.
The meeting is expected to include leaders from the AFL-CIO, Service Employees International Union and other labor organizations.
Union officials told The Associated Press that they view the meeting Monday as a chance to forcefully make their case that the tax is bad policy and bad politics. Unions contend that the tax would be passed along to workers.

They served their purpose so now they are just fodder for the bus.
I strongly believe that the final bill will have the Cadillac tax but with provisions that make it not apply to union plans. I believe this what Obama will be telling the union leaders and he will then ask them to call off the dogs.
He can promise that, but he had better talk to Ben Nelson, Lieberman, and other dem senators who promised not to vote for a conference bill with "substantial changes." Also, the public and even some in the MSM seem to be tiring of the sleazy deals in Obamacare.

This is what I see as well. They will exempt union members from any and all negative aspects of the bill.
As Mark Steyn said of the Canadian healthcare system - “at least everyone has to deal with the same problems as I do”...
That won’t be the case with 0bamacare.
