What's more, it's economic development that creates the cleanest environments we have. You don't find clean rivers or clean air in the poorest countries. Welll... (that's a deep subject) you also need what at least can pass for an ethical government, that will not throw its poor under the bus. Otherwise with prosperity can come simply amazing environmental disasters such as what we see in China.

That country was Haiti.

Great post, neverdem. This John Christy sounds uniquely rational when it comes to climate science. I get the impression that he’s highly skeptical of the warming concensus, and he’s ever so slightly holding back from simply pronouncing AGW complete hoo-ey.
