we are still not sure if CO2 forms clouds in our atmosphere, or is dissipated evenly. Went looking for a definitive study on that issue and did not find an answer on the internet.

If a percent were a dollar, and the atmosphere were 100 percent (or 100 dollars) that would equal ten thousand pennies.

A penny equals 1/100th of a percent.

The CO2 equals 4 pennies (.04%)

So tell me, as a percentage, how the hell are the four pennies out of ten thousand going to form a layer, or a cloud?

There is no layer, there is no "greenhouse"

The studies on CO2 assume a "cloud" ~ inside an enclosure. I'm talking about the entirity of the atmosphere. Seriously, I'm pretty good at searching stuff and couldn't find any study regarding the formation of CO2 clouds in the atmosphere ~ e.g. at or near a volcano, a large forest fire, etc.

Just no one has done the detailed tests to see if there are quantum concentrations of CO2 clouds.

Remember, if there are CO2 clouds, then there's no uniform density of CO2 in the atmosphere and hence it's not possible to estimate the "greenhouse effect" produced by those clouds. That doesn't mean the actual "greenhouse studies" are wrong, just that they are obviously inapplicable to the entirity of the atmosphere.

Did you see the part in my post about where there "ain't enough CO2 to make a cloud"?

The reality is, all the atmospheric gases are "greenhouse gases" and we should thank God for them.

Winds blow so the air in our immediate vicinity is always changing.

Wind also determines the evaporative rate over time. At a known temperature and a known pressure a determinable amount of water will turn into vapor. That rate can change over time depending on the wind speed at the surface of the water. All these things are related. I use wind to cool water during the hot summer. Very effective. More wind will get you more evaporation over time and greater water cooling. The reason El Nino causes the equatorial Pacific waters to warm is simply due to a lack of wind. What drives the wind in nature is pressure differentials. The Science of Climate Change is just in its infancy.

Still, CO2 is not emitted randomly everywhere. It comes out of volcanos in large quantities, so does it disperse immediately, or does it stick together.

Lakes Nyos and Monoun in Cameroon, West Africa emit large bubbles of CO2 that then suffocate people in the surrounding area.

Yes, and the Sun really does circle the Earth. Ptolemy was right and Copernicus wrong. Copernicus just didn’t use enough eccentrics to make the orbit calculations come out right.

Also forgot humidity or air density. Less humid or less dense air will develop higher evaporative rates. So temperature, density, wind speed and pressure all need to be monitored over all surfaces of the planet before we can even take an educated guess about climate change. We are at least 100 years away from that point. Might as well be sacrificing virgins to the sun god on Mayan Altars until then.

I want that shifty bastard we feel should eat more meat canned, along with all his associates, including of course Mr. Bore. Clowns should be cast into prison.
Obi from Nairobi had better be careful as who he takes advice from this late in the game. It just may be his final undoing.

So... which is cause and which is effect? Perhaps the carbon levels are causing the reduction in water vapor.

Neither. The sun is the cause.

As for the rest, think of a buffer effect. The planet as a semi-closed system will maintain an equilibrium.

So, suddenly water vapor IS important. How about that?

No more need to hide the decline. We can admit it now. (But we don’t know why it’s happening. Because our models don’t predict it. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone that our models have failed again. Just keep singing the story about how bad CO2 is.)

Thanks Ernest. There was an earlier topic about this, but I couldn't find it in the Catastrophism list, so...
