Dropping Water Vapor Levels are Naturally Negating Carbon's Warming Effects

Mother Earth appears to be solving the carbon-based warming "problem" for us

The U.S. is currently considering legislation that would enact steep restrictions on carbon emissions.  Already burdened from high insurance costs, high taxes, and a struggling economy, Congress is asking Americans to shoulder another load -- an estimated cost of $1,600 per citizen per year to fight warming.  And internationally climate change proponents have suggested other major lifestyle restrictions, such as bans on meat consumption and air travel.

Recently there has been a rash of incidents in which climate alarmists have been embarrassingly caught falsifying data or exaggerating facts and figures.  James Hansen, head of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York City, a leading climatology center, was found to have several curiously increased sets of temperature data in his studies, which he claimed were the result of a pesky Y2K bug.  At England's East Anglia University, emails leaked from the prestigious Climate Research Unit that revealed that the university's researchers intentionally falsified data temperature data and suppressed scientists who criticized warming.  The incident led to the center's director and prominent warming advocated, Phil Jones, to "temporarily" step down.

I’m getting a feeling that maybe temperature controls water levels in the air, not the other way around.

The Science is no where near settled...and the Models on the big computers aren’t close to reliable.

“I’m getting a feeling that maybe temperature controls water levels in the air, not the other way around”

Yeah, I noticed that too. When I put a tea kettle on the stove, the vapor doesn’t come out until I apply enough heat!

And they have the audacity to call themselves scientists!

Sheesh!

Water will sublimate into the air without the addition of heat.

Let's say the many billions of square feet of rice paddy doesn't exist. Then, we invent rice and the rice paddy and plant rice all over the place. We flood the land where we plant rice. That water is allowed to evaporate over a broad expanse of land where it would previously have been concentrated and run down the sea in streams and rivers.

If we plant more rice we send more water into the air. if we plant less rice we send less water into the air. Depending on the period of flooding we provide more or less time to the termites who live in the rice fields to make methane!

Ignoring CO2 completely, what happens by expanding the amount of water vapor added to the air, and what happens with those termites. I am sure the effect on the climate from those two items far exceeds CO2.

“Water will sublimate into the air without the addition of heat.”

It is a physical fact that the concentration of water vapor above the surface water is dependent upon the atmospheric pressure and temperature. This is a natural equilibrium relationship (law). The higher the temperature of the water, the more water vapor, the higher the atmospheric pressure, less vapor (at least that what I was taught many moons ago in my Chemical Engineering courses). Any handbook of Chemistry supplies this known data,

Yeah those darn termites!

So... which is cause and which is effect? Perhaps the carbon levels are causing the reduction in water vapor.

The Money Maker (or killer) of the article: “However more atmospheric carbon has actually decreased water vapor levels. Thus rather than a “doomsday” cycle of runaway warming, Mother Earth appears surprisingly tolerant of carbon, decreasing atmospheric levels of water vapor — a more effective greenhouse gas.”

With the scientist focusing on what they can do to keep the grant money coming, they went into a mode characteristic of science during the Dark Ages. It is lucky we did not have torture racks in the royal towers for the heretic researchers.

What warming effect?

Mother Earth appears to be solving the carbon-based warming "problem" for us

What carbon-based warming problem?

This is a totally worthless propaganda piece, focused on saving face for the now debunked junk-science hoax of global warming.

Warm moist air rises during the day. Cool dry air descends during the evening.

We all depend on that. Winds blow so the air in our immediate vicinity is always changing. Finally, we are still not sure if CO2 forms clouds in our atmosphere, or is dissipated evenly. Went looking for a definitive study on that issue and did not find an answer on the internet.

The climate models look like they assume winds don't blow, warm air doesn't rise, cool air doesn't descend, and CO2 is enclosed in some sort of enormous greenhouse. Makes me doubt the models.

“That Gaia is just so smart!”

Follow the money!

These guys putting out this phony-baloney “science” are sellouts. Annoys me to no end that they have gotten away with this for so long.

Any Chemical Engineer, or Physical Chemist for that matter (assuming that they are not on the take), can easily refute the BS that this “Settled Science” is based on.

LOL!, Thanks for the reminder that it was indeed the “Thermo” courses at NJIT

Couldn’t remember which course it was, lost track of a lot of things after that Jimi Hendrix concert in 68!

“It remains to be seen whether politicians choose to consider the latest unbiased research, or instead forge ahead on a crusade against the rather weak greenhouse gas.”

Well since they are the ones that came up with the hoax and sent established grants to pay for scientists to prove that man made global warming exists, I’d say they will forge ahead. Many of them have too much personal money tied up in carbon companies to let it go.

This isn’t about carbon, or science or climate change it is about using the environment to overthrow the constitution. It is about usurping private property rights and gaining control over energy sources and mineral rights and water rights.
It is about the elites establishing a global communist government.
