How about doing like the most successful cultures: When a culture does well, adapt it - don’t reject it.
There is an old saying, eat the meat and spit out the bones.
It is shameful the treatment some native Americans got here, but it is a fact the successful cultures in America took a good look, saw what they wanted, adapted and used and triumphed. And the triumph of America is (theoretically, at least) people should be set free to do this as they will.

Denver's Five Points. At one time a thriving, mostly middle class, African-American neighborhood, with it's own retailers and professionals.

Eternal whining about the horrors of the past falls on deaf ears as other minorities, including black Africans migrating here, rise up the economic ladder the only way that works, individual by individual, family by family.
Many people come from ethnic groups that historically were treated badly, but they haven't whined about it as if the injustices and abuses heaped upon ancestors 3, 4, 5, 6 generations ago happened last week.
It's high time to move on.
