There have been hundreds of tsunami warning posted to the forum over the past 10 years and only one of them ever turned out to amount to anything (the 2004 Christmas one in the Indian Ocean).
However, this one definitely has my attention.

Yes, this sounds very serious.
Folks in Hawaii have plenty of time to prepare. Even those who wake up in the morning should have time to run for the hills.

Hawaii has an extensive tsunami warning system with sirens placed all over the islands. This was done after the devastating 1946 tsunami.

Well, tsunammi(s) hit the South Pacific area recently. There were warnings here. A lot of people didn’t die because evacuations seemed to work, but there were some devastating waves in that region.

Me too as I’m supposed to be moving to the Marshall Islands soon. Tsunami’s have been my only reservation about going as the island tops out at only 9’ above sea level.

Check out the Sept 29, 2009 tsunami that hit American Samoa, Samoa & Tongs. Well over 100 killed.
