Hattie, as I understand it TX has NEVER had registration by party. One picks his primary on election day or now during the early voting period.

I stand corrected. Moved to TX in 1960, must have been NE that had that requirement.

Most states do have that requirement, such as FL and PA. But TX and AR never have.
