Just saw a report on the BBC News which showed that Heathrow,one of the busiest airports in the world,is truly a ghost town.

Anybody in the U.K. needs to know that when this volcano erupted in 1783 it caused famine in Europe and poisonous gas from the volcano killed a number of people in Britain.

I recommend getting gas masks that are effective against sulfur gas.

I am in currently in Germany (outside of Frankfurt) on business and was supposed to fly back to the Philippines (currently working as an expat there) this Sunday. Saw on the news this morning that Frankfurt airport was closed down this morning. Called the airline this morning and they don’t know how my flight will be effected. They told me that almost all airports in Northern Europe have been closed down as well.

Have shuffled my schedule to stay in Germany for another week to avoid the nightmare of flying out Sunday. Will enjoy a few extra days sight-seeing and will visit another client while I’m here. Thankfully I can still be “connected” to the office.
