A Tornado Watch has just been issued by the National Weather Service for the Central and North Florida regions. A Tornado Watch does not mean that tornados have been spotted, but the strong possibility exists for tornatos, damaging hail, high winds and dangerous lightning.
Very bad storms now west of Gainesville.
Suggest monitoring NEXRAD for more:

Take care there today.
I’m visiting in Jacksonville today. I will keep an eye on the sky. Rain is needed in this area, but not tornados!
Daytona Beach here....eyes open.
Thanks for the ping! Nice and breezy here in St.Pete and we are told to expect rain tonight. We sure do need some rain here so hoping for just rain....no tornado problems for any Floridians!
