Various news outlets are reporting that GOP Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, who is all but certain to lose a Senate primary to Marco Rubio, will announce Friday that he will instead run as an independent. However, the details are bit murky: Crist will announce his plans at 5 p.m. Thursday in his hometown of St. Petersburg. The confidants spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement has not been made, but both said they had spoken directly with Crist.

A fine example of a Republican candidate selected by the national party. Christ's primary problem is one of character as is the problem of many of the national leadership. Way to go Fl for seeing through this guy and for giving though of us not in Fl some hope for change with new Sen. Rubio.

My letter to Crist Campaign

Dear Arlen Spector

What a wonderful idea to switch parties and run as a independant!
Bravo Arlen, you are a real man of your word, and just what we need in Washington DC! If you cannot attain victory running as a RINO, I mean little r republican, come out of the closet and let your true character manifest itself as a tough, narcisistic, egomaniac. Forget the good of the people, it’s all about you Arlen.

Let me get this right so I can make sure my contribution finds it way into the correct account.

Marco Rubio for U.S. Senate
2030 South Douglas Road
Suite 105
Coral Gables, FL 33134

Once again Mr Spector, you are the man!

John Danforth

What a putz

The only poll I saw, a couple of weeks ago, showed Rubio winning a three way race. I would think Crist pulls more Dem votes away in a three way. It will be interesting to watch.
