I worry that we don't know as much about DNA as we think. I am beginning to think that there's more and we're missing something.

I think the point of the story is that although there genes appear different, where the rubber hits the road, the proteins produced from active genes, are almost identical. That is very interesting and should lead to some questions that should challenge current assumptions about the origin of man.

That would mean no adenine, guanine, cytosine or thymine, as opposed to common bacteria like paramecium that have very similar DNA to ours. These Neanderthals must be from another planet.
