LR Home Invasion Suspect Arrested (57 y/o used puppy to gain entry, beat, kidnap college student)

Little Rock, AR - According to police Jim Huff was arrested this afternoon in connection with a Sunday home invasion. Little Rock authorities searched Huff's home at 14 Leslie Circle in Little Rock late Wednesday afternoon. They did not release what they found at the home. Investigators say on Sunday night Huff, who is 56 years old, tried to abduct a 24 year old woman from her Little Rock home near Hall High School. According to Police Huff approached the victim's front door with a small dog and asked if she would help him identify the animal. When the victim opened the door, that's when Huff allegedly overpowered her and pulled her out of the home by her hair. The victim was screaming loudly and police say Huff then began yelling that he was taking her to rehab, trying to throw off any neighbors. Luckily one person, who lived nearby, approached Huff as he was trying to get the victim into his vehicle and at that point police say he let the victim go and fled in his green SUV. He was at large until about seven o'clock on Wednesday night when he was arrested. A good friend and next door neighbor of the victim, who we aren't identifying says the entire community was shaken up by the incident.

(Neighbor) "It's just a hard lesson to not open your door to anybody, really do not open your door to anybody."

Other neighbors also feel that the nature of the crime suggests whoever committed it has done something like this before. Police admit they are looking into whether there could be other victims out there. After he was questioned Jim Huff was taken to the Pulaski County Jail which was shown live on Channel Seven News Nightside.

1) He waited for her roomates to leave and she got back from walking her dog.
2) Used puppy to gain entry...(dog never found)
3) Put ladder on side of truck, backed into driveway to look like he was a worker.
4) When confronting neighbors investigating commotion, yelled at kidnap victim, "YOURE GOING BACK TO REHAB!" in an attempt to throw them off.

If you don't know mid-town Little Rock, it is an upper middle class area with very little crime. This happened about 2 miles from where Anne Pressley, the KATV news anchor was brutally raped, beaten, sodimized, and murdered.
