PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona Sen. John McCain spent another $3.6 million last month in his bid to secure re-election.

He's now spent almost $20 million on the race, nearly all of it since former Congressman J.D. Hayworth began challenging him in the Republican primary earlier this year.

” He is running the dirtiest campaign ever. Had he been that hard on Bambi he would have been elected. “

Yes, but McCain only hates conservatives, especially those who fought him on amnesty, like Hayworth. Remember he praised Obama twice while he was runniong against him.

Why would someone fight so hard and spend so much to hang onto a job he is already old enough to retire from with a very healthy pension?

The boy is scared.

The boy spendthrift is scared.

He is spending the cmpaign money he was suppposed to use for his run for the presidency.

It's not going to help him because of his open borders stand and his views on amnesty for illegals. .

Illegals

Illegals

McCain approaches $20 million in campaign spending

Obscene.

I encountered an Arizona WWII vet at the State Fair parade in Des Moines night before last. He was sitting with his wife and we all chatted for a bit. I asked him if he was supporting McCain. He said he was. Said that since McCain spent several years as a POW that he knows what war is all about.

Out of respect, I didn't remind him that Benedict Arnold was the hero of the Battle of Saratoga.

One bright spot, though. His wife leaned over and reminded him that they weren't going to be home to vote in the primary.

;-)

Where is he getting this money.20 million for a senate seat?Outrageous doesnt even come close.

McCain's goal is to get some form of amnesty for illegals passed. He's done a 180 on illegals amnesty and border security to try and get another term, but if he wins he'll forget all that in a nano second. My guess is there are people in the illegal alien camp that are funneling money to him. If he gets re-elected he will introduce some Obama approved amnesty bill that will be passed the same way healthcare was.

John McLame is poison.. his hero status is getting threadbare..
This guy is a republican political disease..
Hes as progressive as Barry Half-White.. or George Bush for that matter..

He's being used like a rented Donkey..
WORSE.. he likes being a TOOL.. he is a TROLL..
Sarah Palin is more suspect everytime she slimes herself by being near him..

I want to be a Palin-ster but McLame slimes anything he touches..
Any... with any sense, would distance themselves from him.. he is toxic..

However, I am not too smart... I'M A REPUBLICAN...

$20 million for a job that has an annual salary of $174,000.

What is wrong with this picture?

Good. Even if JD doesn’t win, he made his opponent spend a large amount of resources to achieve a pyrhic victory.

Exactly...why would anyone spend this kind of money (and I’m not specifically talking about McCain) to be a politician...

There is much wrong with where the politicians have taken our political system...

>>> The boy is scared.

Brilliant insight. Being merely 20 points ahead of Hayworth, McCain must be terrified.

>>> McCain only was allowed to spend, if my memory is right, $80 million for the 2010 General Election; as another poster he did not even spend all the money he could.

It doesn’t. McCain spent $227.7 million; among Republicans, that was second only to Bush’s $269.4 million in 2004.

Arizona Senator McCain, unlike Obama, accepted $84.1 million in public financing for the general election, a decision that barred him from raising money privately. Obama outspent him by a 4-1 margin between Sept. 1 and Nov. 24, FEC records show.

Barack Obama, the first major-party nominee to reject federal funding for the general election, spent $740.6 million. That eclipsed the combined $646.7 million that Republican President George W. Bush and Democratic nominee John Kerry spent four years earlier.

It can be taken two ways.

But I am tiring of the bashing threads. Where are the threads touting the benefits of supporting Hayworth? People want something to VOTE FOR not against. No one seems to be excited to elect Hayworth. Why?

Not surprising. These liberal republicans always fight harder against conservatives than they do against Democrats.

Come on, Arizona. Bounce this bum!

” Go McCain “

Unfortunately, your dream of kissing Palin will never be realized. Would you possibly settle for Rosie O’Donnell?
