It isn’t just Republicans and Conservatives. Not here in NYC. Almost everyone is against it, except for our A-hole Mayor Bloomberg, and other regime elites.
Governor Patterson has shown leadership on this when no one else has. Saying it is not a good idea, and offering NYS land elsewhere for this group to build their mosque. He has also called for dialogue with the Imam in charge to work out a solution. The Iman refused; Patterson was totally rebuffed.
Yeah, never thought I’d say this, but Patterson did a smart and good thing there when he could have just pretended it wasn’t his problem.
