Normally, tsunami's need to be about 7.0 earthquakes to be significant...

(update0 JAKARTA, Indonesia— A local agency says an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.4 has hit off eastern Indonesia.

The Indonesian meteorological and geophysics agency says the shallow underwater quake has the potential to trigger a tsunami.

It says the quake, which struck off Papua province just after midnight Thursday, was centered some 15 miles beneath the ocean floor.
