Dump truck motors is what my brother-in-law called the 460. I had two Lincoln Continental Mark VIs (73 & 74) with the 460. I got 14MPG regularly, and unless you set the cruise control, 120 was pretty easy on accident.

Flooring the throttle, on the other hand, made a jet engine sound from the air rushing into the engine, and fuel flow through the lines. But it moved, it surely did. That heavy beast moved. Any you knew it.
