I guess Meghan hasn't read the Constitution. To run for the Senate you must be:

(1) at least 30 years old.
O'Donnell is 41

(2) a U.S. citizen for at least nine years at the time of election to the Senate.
O'Donnell was born in the U.S.

Therefore she is qualified to run for the Senate. No other experience is required.

Actually, there are not requirements in the US Constitution for past job experience to run for the office of Representative, Senator, or President.

I’ll say it again. I’ve heard of people throwing prize fights and shaving points in basketball games but, prior to the 08 election, I never would have thought anybody would ever throw a presidential election.
