I've been avoiding air travel, as much as possible, since the TSA was created. I know many other people who are doing the same.

I have a friend who's a retired airline pilot. He retired about 10 years ago and hasn't flown since then.

I'm taking a vacation over the coming Thanksgiving holiday, and will drive for two days, each way, to avoid flying.

Good for you. The airlines are complicit with this stuff. If they had done their lobbying job, an organization such as the TSA would have never gotten off the ground. A privately-run service would have been in its place.
