I don’t understand the thinking...
Seriesly, what did they expect? They don’t honor contracts anyway. Why do business there at all?
Some companies really do believe that there are over 1.3 billion customers just waiting to buy their products. Of course they don't dig deeper and learn that in reality, only a very small portion of China's large population has the money to buy foreign products, and that its "middle class," while large, has buying power that is laughably small compared to their first world counterparts, and the vast, vast majority of people are typical third-worlders with no disposable income at all.
