He was not offshore. He was in a part of the Banana River and within a very short distance from the Space center and launch pads. I think a shuttle is sitting on the pad right now.

I think a shuttle is sitting on the pad right now. you may be 100 percent correct. I heard there was a problem with the external tank concerning cracks in covering. Would the shuttle be moved off the pad for repair of external tank? I do not know the answer, or I would not ask.
