I have also seen thousands of airplane contrails and have never seen one that made me think it looked like a missile launch for even a moment.
I haven't either. Not one. So what's your point?

By the way, I just drove half way across the continent and saw multiple contrails that looked every bit as much the “missile launch” as the one in question here.
