William Scott Ritter Jr., a former United Nations weapons inspector who gained renown for his criticism of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, contends his online sexual encounters with teenage girls were only fantasy.
Nearly two years ago, Ritter, of Delmar, watched his computer screen reveal that an anonymous person who had been exchanging sexually charged messages with him for 80 minutes was not a 15-year-old girl.
It was a cop from a small town in northeast Pennsylvania, alone in his station house and trolling the Internet for suspected child predators.
Ryan Venneman, a detective for the Barrett Township Police Department in Monroe County, had enough after Ritter allegedly transmitted streaming video of himself…

Doesn’t seem like this sort of investigation is in the jurisdiction of a local small town cop. Makes me wonder if the cop (and others like him/her) might be pervs using the cover of law to engage in naughty talk with random men.

I initially mis-read the headline as
“Ritter’s Sex Changes From 2001 Unsealed” .

Or perhaps blackmailed by a domestic politician, one who could influence the police and courts into letting him stay free. The left invested lots in “Bush Lied”, and for Ritter to go around chirping that there was WMD in Iraq would spoil that investment. Not that Hussein was not involved too!
Which leads me to suspect that he scored for real more than once.

Even in the midst of this the morning show on 84 WHAS in the Louisville media market still occassionally has him on as a guest expert commentator. I don’t listen that often but I could not believe it when I heard him on there several months ago.

Just as I thought, this guy was exposing (I know, I know, bad choice of words again!) the Saddam regime; he was sounding the trumpet about Saddam's WMDs, heaping the scorn of the Clintonistas and reaping the praise of conservatives (CIA Corrupts a Hero - Scott Ritter flip/flop). I do remember Rush citing Scott Ritter a few times on his show during that time before Mr. Ritter gave in to the dark side.
